Telure – The Guardian

Inspired by the game's guardians, this statuette, adorned with a jewel becomes a symbol of victory.

This trophy was originally designed as an award for an esports tournament centred around League of Legends. Due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament was cancelled, and the trophy was never produced. However, three years later, we decided to bring this concept to life, as it was a project that remained particularly meaningful to us.

For this project, we aimed to transform the tower — a defensive element in the game — into a symbol of victory.

To highlight the competitive nature of the game, we chose to reinterpret the trophy by drawing inspiration from the war trophies of ancient Greece.

The tower, a key element of the gameplay, naturally became the central reference. In the game, these towers are defensive structures designed to protect the base and halt the opponent’s advance. They take the form of imposing warrior statues, acting as guardians of the territory.

The trophy translates this concept through a knight’s armour mounted on a pedestal, directly echoing the design of the towers. Rendered in a medieval fantasy style faithful to the game’s universe, the warrior figure appears both imposing and formidable. A jewel completes the composition, highlighting the value and prestige of the award presented to the tournament winner.

To bring the statuette to life, we first created several drawings from different angles, before moving on to 3D modelling and printing. The jewel was moulded in silicone and then cast in transparent epoxy resin.
