LEC VERSUS 2026
When confrontation becomes symbolic
With the LEC VERSUS, Riot Games is opening its elite circuit to regional leagues and breathing new life into the League of Legends European Championship. This single-elimination tournament puts on the line the sole ticket to the new First Stand international tournament.
To mark the occasion, we had the immense honor of designing and crafting the trophy that will reward the winning team of this groundbreaking tournament.

Duality lies at the heart of the design: two crossed spears, directly echoing the competition’s very name: LEC VERSUS.
Breaking away from the sleek, streamlined lines of the current LEC trophy, this design nods to some of the LCS’s most iconic awards.
The trophy’s bold, warlike aesthetic visually roots the piece in the world of Demacia, the featured region for the 2026 season. The wing motifs running across it echo the “Winged Sisters”, mythical figures whose influence permeates the kingdom’s architecture and identity.
Beyond the lore, this creation first and foremost celebrates the art of dueling: its intertwined, aggressive lines evoke blades ready to clash, visually capturing the spirit of confrontation at the very heart of the tournament.
All attention is drawn to the central gem, set at the top as the trophy’s true focal point. Featuring multiple facets, it embodies the Nexus—that massive magical crystal—while its emerald green hue breathes a fresh dynamic into the piece, intentionally contrasting with the royal blue traditionally featured on previous trophies. To capture this complex geometry and bring the trophy to life, we combined several manufacturing processes.
The main structure was first produced using 3D printing to ensure crisp precision before being elevated through metallization, a surface treatment that delivers a sumptuous finish with taut surfaces and mirror-like reflections to amplify the trophy’s visual impact. Meanwhile, the central gem was cast in bulk-tinted epoxy resin and meticulously polished to achieve absolute transparency.
