Red Bull Radical 2020
Where the spirit of mountain biking leaves its imprint on the trophy.
Designed and crafted for the 2020 Red Bull Radical race at Steinbruch Oetelshofen in Wuppertal, Germany, these trophies draw their rugged, mineral aesthetic directly from the former quarry that hosted the event.

The idea was to feature a mechanical element at the top of the trophy, reflecting the bicycle’s mechanical nature.
For this edition, we chose to make the rocky relief the central feature of the trophy. Its raw, irregular shape directly evokes the race’s steep terrain, anchoring the piece in its environment. The mineral block serves as a backdrop for the Red Bull Radical logo, integrated onto the front as a graphic mark punctuating the surface.
At its apex, a mechanical component inspired by a bicycle chainring extends the world of the discipline. Its circular, tooth-shaped silhouette directly references cycling mechanics while offering a sharp contrast to the massive, raw quality of the rocky base.
The entire piece rests on a wooden base whose simplicity balances the raw material of the trophy. The combination of wood, rock, and metal yields an object rooted in the terrain and connected to the cycling world.
