BLAST R6 Major Atlanta 2023
Where the symbols of the game meet the timeless codes of the traditional trophy.
This trophy was specially created for the final of the international BLAST R6 Major Esports tournament, held in Atlanta, USA, in November 2023. Centred around the tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege, the event was organised by BLAST in partnership with Ubisoft.

The challenge was to give the traditional trophy a new dimension by incorporating the distinctive emblems of the game’s Operators.
For this occasion, we were commissioned to design a trophy cup that would build upon the design of the trophy presented at the previous competition.
One way of creating a connection between the game and the event’s location was to incorporate elements associated with Operators — the fictional characters from the game — who originate from the country where the competition was held.
We ultimately chose to represent four of them through their signature items. Once integrated into the trophy, these highly recognisable visual elements bring a more contemporary dynamic to the traditional cup form, further anchoring it within the world of video games. The cracks across certain surfaces of the trophy reference the event’s visual identity, as well as the destructible environments found throughout the game.
The game’s military and combative aesthetic is reinforced by its metallic finish, imposing dimensions and substantial, solid form.
We were also commissioned to create the base to display and showcase the trophy. Integrated lighting around its upper edges highlights the items and the trophy’s logo, while the lighting beneath the base creates a floating effect, giving the piece an added sense of presence and aura.
On this occasion, we would like to express our gratitude to theUbisoft and BLAST for their trust in this first collaboration on an event of such magnitude, without which this project would not have been feasible. We sincerely hope that this will mark the beginning of a good collaboration.
